Memorial Day is a great time to pay a tribute to those who have fallen as well as showing thanks for veterans and active military personnel. Memorial Day Weekend Events for the Family
Memorial Day Rally: Flags for Our Fallen
Over 200 bikers will park their bikes along Cave Creek road with hundreds of American flags as they participate in the 12th annual Flags for Our Fallen rally. Go out and join them on May 28, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. as they honor those who have fallen. This event has no charge but flags are available to sponsor for a $10 donation. Read more here.
Phoenix Comic Fest
Get involved in the action at Comic Fest from May 24 to May 27! This pop culture experience will include many genres including anime, horror and steampunk. Fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite actors and authors and get their autograph and pictures taken. This will be a weekend full of events so be sure not to miss out! Read more here.
Cave Creek Balloon Festival
This great family event in Cave Creek at the Rancho Manana Gold Course features hot air balloons at dusk (7:30 p.m.) as well as the Civil Air Patrol color guard presentation and fireworks. There will be live music playing throughout the night and plenty for the kids to do. Check out this event on May 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 10p.m. Read more here.
Avondale Memorial Day Service
This service will honor all the men and women who have served our country. There will be a candlelight vigil and a military presentation. Along with the guest speakers showing their gratitude, there will be music to honor those who have served. Join them in remembering our troops on May 28, at 6:30 in Avondale. Read more here.
